När tråden brister – Mija Renström
Mija Renström’s exhibition “När trådar brister” is about life stories, about giving voice to what is hidden in hand-stitched embroidery and fabrics. Renström looks at textiles as texts that can be read – about women’s living conditions, about time and space. She cherishes the idea of the imprint. The imprints we create with our hands, the ones we make on each other and leave behind. The photographic footprint and the lasting impressions over generations. Using textiles and photographic methods, she examines patterns, structures and cavities.
