Budkavlen/The Bidding Stick
The letter chain from Drömfabriken 2021 and a publication are exhibited in the spinning hall at Rydal. The letters have been transferred by the organizer by hand to a 24 metres long scroll of paper. A dialogue in different languages, where perspectives are bound together over distances. Thread consists of an infinite amount of fibers. Just as humans harvest, spin, twine and weave fibers into cohesive textile forms, we are organized through global work. We spin the thread together.
3rd October, initiator and artist Linnéa M. F. Larsson give an introduction to the letter piece and we experiment with wool around the fireplace.
