Det öppna torget – Lars Embäck
Högsbotorp was built around a square and a school in the first half of the fifties. Adjacent areas in Högsbohöjd and Frölundaborg were completed almost a decade later. What is there to remember from the time when people moved out to Högsbo? What can you tell us about life in the district today? What is there to understand about the importance of a place to the people who live and have lived there? An art installation can be an object that seeks collaboration. By presenting a site-specific work based on the district’s history and the artist’s own experiences from growing up in Högsbo, Lars Embäck hopes that his exhibition will contribute to a conversation with the audience.
