KULTUR48H [K48H]

In Mariestad, next to the mouth of the river Tidan at Lake Vänern, a portal to another world opens. For 48 hours on the last weekend in September, ”Murgården” and ”Trädgårdsmästeriet” in the University Park in Mariestad will be transformed into a full-scale test of a “multi-culture house” for Mariestad and Tidandalen. On the biennale theme “The forms of the surrounding futures”, cultural experiences follow each other.

The social sculpture K48H explores what art and culture can do for the understanding and change of a place. As part of Tidandalen konsthall’s self-imposed mission, K48H will act as a catalyst to promote a broad collaboration where we together (re)discover or even create our possible worlds.
