A Monument of the City to Build

Who has the right to shape the city we live in? What are our rights as well as our responsibilities as inhabitants? What is our relationship with our city? As Gothenburg is being reshaped, how can our voices be at the forefront of urban transformation?

A Monument of the City to Build is exploring these questions through participatory events and conversations with Gothenburg’s inhabitants, taking place throughout the city. Over 200 participants, both children and adults, have contributed to the project with their proposals. You can see their visions, wishes, and reflections for a new Gothenburg here.
