Celebrate with us into the evening the opening of a hand that is all our hands combined, the 13th edition of Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary! DJ Kim Öhman and Faik Shakarchi, Gothenburg residents from two generations, both founders of club movements, welcome you at Oceanen!

 

Faik Shakarchi

Faik Shakarchi is a Swedish producer and DJ, best known as one half of the Gothenburg-based duo Shakarchi & Stranéus. Together with Daniel Stranéus, he has released music on the acclaimed label Studio Barnhus, including their debut EP Dödskallar och Korallrev and the critically praised album Steal Chickens From Men And The Future From God.

In 2019, the duo was nominated for a Grammis Award in the category Electronic/Dance of the Year, cementing their strong position on the Swedish music scene. Beyond their success at home, Shakarchi & Stranéus have also performed internationally, playing clubs and festivals across Europe and beyond. With their genre-crossing blend of house, experimental dance music, and emotional depth, Faik Shakarchi has established himself as a distinctive voice in modern electronic music.

Kim Öhman

Kim Öhman is on the pulse of everything worth moving to, serving her unmatched signature mix of Jungle, juke, house, grime, dancehall, dembow, UK bass and more. She is the founder of Gimme Signal, a popular event series in her home town. Gimme Signal centers high-quality cultural experiences featuring today’s and tomorrow’s top DJs and artists within her musical palette.
