Detriti Gallery
Opening Exhibition Unknown Forces
Forces that push, pull, distort, expand out to magnify and shrink down to disappear. Forces that drive, pulsate, explode. Forces that close and forces that open, centrifugal or centripetal. Forces as guidelines or instructions to be followed. Forces defining careers and relationships. Forces shaping sexuality and identity. Unknown forces warping experiences.  The Group show proposes art practices and acts of imagination as forces capable of overturning the structures in which we live in by shaping or bending them through creative processes.

Participating artists: Ajami Solros, Amelia Dray, Josef Kovac, Sanna Lindholm, Karin Gyllerfelt, Alqumit Alhamad, Sunniva Hestenes, Charlie Vince Jakobsson, Clara Aldèn & Gloriya Talebi.

FG2
Opening
FG2 is pleased to host the first exhibition by SWIT Platform. Founded in 2022 by artist Stefano Conti as a curatorial and research project, SWIT aims to strengthen the cooperation between Sweden-based and Italy-based artists working with photography, supporting them through cultural exchanges. For this occasion, SWIT invited Luca Panaro to curate an exhibition that brings together projects touching upon relationships, archives, and materiality.

Participating artists: Claudia Petraroli, Emma Sandström, Erik Gustafsson, Matilde Søes Rasmussen, Matteo Girola, Sara Davide, Klara Källström & Thobias Fäldt

Galleri 54
BERGET BERGET, MÄRGEN MÄRGEN, an exhibition by Ellen Macke Alström, a sculptural scene of ceramics, wood and textile, loosely based on the myth of Ållebergs Ryttare.

Galleri Box
An exhibition by Ina Porselius dealing with themes such as identity, memories, emotions, family and class. Porselius’ work is partly about people and stories that are not always given a place in art and film, such as voices from the working class, and foremost the voices of women.

Galleri Four
An exhibition by Helena Sandström. Sandström likes to work with classic jewelry materials such as gold, silver and pearls. She works with her hands and moves freely between more traditional jewelry and larger sculptural works. The expression is fine-tuned and poetic, often with a shimmer that whispers about other stories that might hide in the shadows.

PUUT–Publicering & Utlåning invites you to Bänkfest
The park benches in Gothenburg citizens’ own living rooms are the starting point for Bänkfest 2023, where different expressions can take place on selected park benches at different occasions during the GIBCA–extended period. There will be a lathe, poetry reading, kite workshop, Monument, music, free portraits, quiz, liars bench, naming, bingo and more. The choice of place and activity enables an anti-hierarchical practice where people meet side by side on a park bench. Everyone is welcome as who they are and allowed to be who they want, together we become the culture.
