TORGET, (the square), is a time-based research of the need for a public place, post covid 19, by KIOSKEN on Ringön. Kiosken examines what functions a square needs, in parallel and in relation to the property owners’ future visions of the area, the city’s 400th anniversary and the intended strategy of Ringön as a “permissive oasis”.What is a square? What does such a place look like in an industrial area? What role does art play when it comes to the design of a public place and the development of an area?
