My Ship is Coming Loaded with Deceit

My Ship Is Loaded with Deceit is an exhibition project that investigates Scandinavian narration in relation to our everyday lives. Which narratives are recorded, taught and experienced? How can art engage critically to the current and to the past? Scandinavia is presented globally as a success story, with efficient and developed welfare systems, economic progress and high happiness rates. Simultaneously, issues of past and present are being ignored. With a long history of oppression and discrimination that perpetuates violence towards specific groups in mind, this exhibition aims to question the present institutional narratives and the hidden counternarratives.
