Who authored the clay? Nature or the potter’s hand? Our world is in a self-negotiating flux and somehow clay remains one of the few historical constants throughout centuries and beyond landmasses. It is a medium of both poetry and politics. What role does clay play in this environment of constant change? Does the clay have a future or is it futuristic? Manifesto for Clay is an investigative artistic collaboration between Julia Schuster and Arijit Bhattacharyya. The dialogues between the artistic duo will result in a site-specific embodiment at Bollebygd’s former brick factory.
