Nordic Biennial Symposium

GIBCA and Valand Academy invites you to a symposium on Nordic Art Biennials. What are the possibilities and challenges for the biennial format in a Nordic context and what is the biennial of the future?


With GIBCA, Lofoten International Art Festival, Momentum, Bergen Assembly, Reykjavik Art Festival, The Photographic Artists’ Association and Brandts Fotobienniale.

Keynote by Maria Lind, director Tensta Konsthall and artistic director of the 11th Gwangju biennale.

Q&A and closing remarks by Andrea Phillips, PARSE Professor Valand Academy.
