GIBCA and Public Art Agency Sweden are now looking for volunteers to help with HoW's construction.

Come and help us build House of Words (HoW) a temporary pavilion directly attached to Röda Sten Konsthall. HoW will be a part of Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art (GIBCA) and will function as its central, social meeting place.

Don’t miss this opportunity to create a unique building, together with one of Spain’s foremost rebellious architect, Santiago Cirugeda!

What will we be doing?

  • We will drill, dig, hammer, saw and build while listening to music and meeting new people.

  • We will work together in small groups under the direct supervision of Santiago Cirugeda.

  • We will use building materials comprised almost entirely of recycled materials.

  • Not only will your ideas be an integral part of the building process, but your i nput will become an important part of the artwork itself.

  • Each day you will be surrounded by excellent company, eat good food and, last not least, gain a fantastic sense of accomplishment and togetherness.
